He played there for the Rams as a wide receiver until becoming a tight end, and also played defensive end.^[17] As a senior, he was Connecticut’s Gatorade Football Player of the Year after making 67 receptions for 1,807 yards and 24 touchdowns on offense and 72 tackles, 12 sacks, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and four blocked kicks on defense.^[17]The 1,807 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns were state records. Hernandez’s 31 career touchdowns tied the state record. He also set the state record for receiving yards in a single game with 376, the seventh-best in national high school history; he set a national high school record for yards receiving per game with 180.7. Hernandez was considered the top tight-end recruit in 2007 by Scout.com.”

I been following this kid since he was a sophomore at Bristol Central High in Bristol, CT.  He was an animal on both sides of the ball too.  He had an older brother named Dj and DJ was our states first Latin American QB to be named to the 1st Team All State.  Both brothers busted ass in high school and both being picked up by division 1 schools with DJ attending Uconn and Aaron attending the University of Florida.  I felt that DJ was too talented to sit the bench and not be the full time qb at Uconn but I guess everyone has an opinion.  But a lot of people where very skeptical when Aaron attended Florida, some were saying “He has no business in the SEC”, “He wont get no playing time” etc.  But ol boy proved them wrong when he was named to the freshman All American team his first year.  I’m not really a fan of Gator Nation, that’s because I rock wit Alabama so u can understand the rivalry.  He went on to his sophomore season to do his thing, and his junior year he was named 1st team All American.

“On August 22, 2013, Hernandez was indicted by a grand jury for the June 2013 murder of Lloyd.^[7] He was found guilty of first-degree murder in the Lloyd case, and sentenced to serve life in prison without the possibility of parole at the Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center.^[8]

He was also indicted for the 2012 double homicide of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado,^[6] but was acquitted in April 2017 in that case.“

Very unfortunately some young brothers get caught up!  It’s crazy because once u see a dude from your neck of the woods make it up out of there and if your real, then your happy for them. Prosper on young brother.  I remember when I was a kid the older dudes would whip us in sports just to make us better and tougher.  Back then u couldn’t talk back to your elders and u definitely didn’t think about raising your hands to your elders like these jackass kids playing “The Knock out game” with old ladies.  Fuck that!!!  Back then every last person in your hood with a shoe, belt, extension chord, or a switch would beat yo lil ass like there was no tomorrow and I wish things where still the same, because Black & Brown folks we’ve lost our way!

But one fact u gotta respect is the way and the reason Hernandez went out.  Like a GEE!!!  That man took his life so his kid would prosper in her future.  That’s the way my daddy loved me and my brother growing up, he would kill himself on the job not literally lol, and at any given moment he would die for me or my lil brother and Hernandez I understand where u coming from young brother.  I really gained back lost respect and gained a new one for u!  May God keep u close and your family whole while u take this journey.  After the life sentence charge Hernandez’s life was over and now his lil girl’s life is just beginning.  Black and Brown men that’s how u supposed to love your family, not killing nobody lol but in the end at least try to make your WRONGS RIGHT!  Well Mr Hernandez your life was taken by your choices but in the end u made it right for that lil beautiful girl, and today’s workout is dedicated to u!  U know whats fucked up, I have a lil brother who was always doing something crazy and I was always scared that one day the cops would come to my door and tell me my brother was gone, I could only imagine how his mom and family feels but I understand it more from a big brother’s point of view and DJ please keep your head up bro. Good training to all, and to all a good fight!!!
